Seek Verify Review – Warning! SCAM!!!

Seek Verify (seekverify.com) is an online platform that provides background checks and operates as a trademark for Platinum Data Verifi LLC. Privately registered on February 2nd, 2016, Seek Verify is known to provide research services and throughout their existence their domain has been plagued with troubling and negative consumer feedback. To learn whether or not Seek Verify is trustworthy or not, we urge you to continue reading our honest review.

What is Seek Verify?

Seek Verify is a web-based background check tool that helps individuals find the “truth” about anyone through searching an entities name, phone, address or email.

Compiling information from millions of public records, Seek Verify reports can contain information regarding social profiles, bankruptcy, criminal records, sex offenses, dating activities, job history, weapon permits and more.

Seek Verify may only be used for independent search inquiries and cannot be utilized for professional, credit or insurance purposes since they are not a consumer reporting agency as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Due to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Seek Verify has access to billions of public records that are not considered as confidential. While individuals are able to acquire public records pertaining to particular entities through visiting and paying fees to various governing authorities, the ideal purpose behind Seek Verify would be to simplify this process.

Below is a list of the information allegedly available through Seek Verify reports:

  • Name
  • E-mail
  • Address
  • Job History
  • Phone Number
  • Weapon Permits
  • Criminal Records
  • Sex offender records
  • Social media profiles
  • Financial information
  • Professional Licenses
  • Sex offenders in the area
  • Hunt and fishing licenses
  • Controlled substances permit

How does Seek Verify Work?

Seek Verify functions by pouring over millions of public records regarding entities that match the submitted criteria from searchers. All that is required to conduct searches would be the entities name, phone, email or address. While Seek Verify is not upfront regarding their services, it should be known that their acquisition model urges a $1 trial period where their users will then be automatically enrolled in their $39.95 monthly membership fee.

Gathering public documents from governing authorities, public directories and social media platforms, Seek Verify claims to provide more insight regarding a particular individual than a Google search could render. While this may be true in regards to how Seek Verify has access to public documents that aren’t shared through Google, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the quality of information received will be accurate or let alone worth the hassles that may come through utilizing their platform.

Who is Behind Seek Verify?

According to Seek Verify’s Terms and Conditions, seekverify.com is web-based property of Platinum Data Verifi LLC. Filed under serial number 87043617, SeekVerify is an active trademark for their overseeing corporate entity. Fingerhut and Sharon A Meier are disclosed as their attorney and active employee.

Question Marks and Red Flags

Seek Verify does not render the most credible identifiable information regarding their corporate entity while failing to disclose any information regarding their founders or active operators. Furthermore, upon further investigation, we discovered that their so-called customer reviews are nothing more than fictitious stock images used to deceive and manipulate potential members into believing that their operation is trustworthy and legitimate.

Community Feedback

According to community consensus, there is an active frenzy regarding the fraudulent activities allegedly being performed by Seek Verify. While we already know that they are employing phony and misleading testimonials on their site, the majority of the negative feedback found at RipOffReport and ReportScam don’t necessarily come as a surprise.

Among the most common complaint against Seek Verify would be how they use their “$1 trial period” to lure in and prematurely bill their members the $39.95. Blatantly and ruthlessly charging their users without justification while providing some of the most despicable customer support, there are countless reports from those who have tried to get refunds but have been unsuccessful.  Disclosed below is some of the most recent feedback we found:

I signed up for the $1 trial and cancelled the monthly one within a half hour of signing up for the trial. The customer service rep, said I didn’t cancel the service so they deducted $39 out of my social security check. I explained to him that I had cancelled and they had taken the money out in error. He said it didn’t matter.

Like everyone else, I signed up for the $1 trial offer then was charged $39.95. I called them to complain and they supposedly could not find my account to cancel it. They then hung up on me. Luckily I did this through PayPal so I called them plus my credit card company, Capital One and reported this scam. PayPal reimbursed me but I doubt the reps at SeekVerify helped them come to this decision. I told PayPal to blacklist them. Awful scammers.

This is freaking ridiculous I agreed to a 1$ subscription and they chargede 39.95$ I want my damn money back…

Is Seek Verify Safe to Use?

Given the ominous nature along with the outrage of troubling consumer feedback, we do not feel that Seek Verify is safe to use. Our recommendation would be to avoid their misleading and fraudulent service at any costs and seek our more legitimate alternatives.

Seek Verify Review Conclusion

Seek Verify embodies all of the characteristics that are common amongst illicit and unethical opportunities. Evasively providing identifiable features while employing fictitious elements into their site just goes to show that Seek Verify is not a trustworthy solution for any individual to consider.

Seek verify is being represented by the scammers who send out emails claiming you’ve won $100-$1000 gift cards. Once you connect to claim your gift card you will see you’re required to complete surveys asking for your personal information, as well as complete paid offers such as the Seek Verify offer which are non refundable before you can claim the gift card. While you have given out your debit or credit card information to these scammers such as Seek Verify, your efforts to reclaim the charges these pathetic scam artists charge are never refunded and you’ll also see the gift card you have supposedly completed offers to obtain is also a scam. Seek Verify as well as Truthfinder are ruthless scammers who take your money and provide you with false information.

Seek verify got sued by Been Verified for copying all their website content, so they are scamming cumtomers and ripping off competitors. There is a judgement and consent order requiring them to stop using the name Seek Verify and to refund the money they got for all memberships.

This company (Seekverify) has scammed many people. I’m glad to see payPaygave one person their money back as the refused me. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the same day they said they would refund the money. They then refused again I reopened the case with the BBB about seekverify and this morning 4/26/18 they have started to refund my money. They promised the total amount of $119.85 but so far I have only received $39.95. my advice it’s never use them if you have used them and you realize you have been charged report them immediately!!!
