Runern.com Scam Exposed – (Complaints Shared)

Runern is a discount retail scam trending amongst the consumer marketplace.

Official Site: Runern.com

Pretending to offer greatly discounted goods, Runern is a simplistic retail scam that has already started to mislead and swindle money from hard-working consumers.

To learn more regarding the Runern scam we invite you to read our unbiased review.

What is Runern?

Runern.com appears to be an oversea retailer based out of China.

What we found interesting regarding Runern would be how their site is structured.

We believe that depending upon where a consumers reside, the items that you see available for ‘retail’ at Runern change depending upon demographics.

We state this because just earlier today and yesterday we found reviews from consumers who purchased electrics scooters and other inventory that we do not currently see supported at Runern.

For instance, the only items that we see featured for sale at Runern are bracelets, wrist wear and bangles.

Prices vary from $7.75 to $15.75 per wrist wear item.

To add, the About Us template used at Runern reflects no reference to their supported inventory.

“Stylish, comfortable and easy to care for, our clothing was created in response to the belief that clothing should never restrict you from doing anything you want to do, or distract you from performing at your best. In fact, it should help. runern.com clothing feels great and looks great, keeps you prepared for a variety of situations, and saves time and money (no dry cleaning!).”

Again, the only inventory we found ‘for retail’ at Runern was wrist wear goods, not clothing.

In addition, there is no information regarding Runerns background, their inception along with their alleged mission.

Who is Behind Runern?

Runern discloses the following contact information below:

Office Address

#66 Xinfeng Road, Yuelin Street, Fengua, Zhejiang, China 315500

Telephone: +86 133328842160

Email: gupengfly@gmail.com

When you research the physical address of Runern, only partial matches of the address appear to be legitimate.

Apart from that it appears that the operators behind Runern are trying to operate with intentional anonymity and reduced liability.

Runern Reviews

When investigating the physical address of Runern, we came across a forum site where Runern was once pretending to sell boating accessories at ridiculously low prices.

The verdict in the The Hull Truth Forum would be that Runern was not trustworthy and was a scam.

In addition, a link can be found in the forum that goes on to show the product still available for ‘retail’ at Runern.com, where other products also start popping up such as various clothing attire, racing gear, health related products and much more.

We found this odd considering the fact that when we selected to view ‘all’ of the inventory featured at Runern.com we were not provided with any products other than wrist wear goods – this leads us to believe that depending upon where a consumer resides will dictate which ‘goods’ they will see available to them when visiting Runern.com.

Runern Complaints

Runern has done an effective job of operating under the radar.

UPDATED 27 August 2019 – Enough time has passed since the vendor claimed to have shipped my order and I have not received it yet. I went back to the PayPal Resolution Center, where it shows my first dispute case was closed. So I clicked on the “CHAT” box and explained to the PayPal Rep that I had not received my order yet and she CHANGED THE DISPUTE to “Order not Received.” The PayPal team has also promised me that they will dig deeper into this BOGUS website and keep me informed.

So basically, to get your money back from this SCAM, you’ll have to wait about 30 – 45 days for your order to NOT SHOW UP, then file a claim with PayPal. Hopefully the PayPal team will get this website shut down soon!!! Good luck all…

UPDATE: Today (31 July 2019) I received a notification via PayPal that my ORDER HAS BEEN SHIPPED. My money was paid to a different email receipient than the one listed on the website which raises a flag for me! So far, I’ve encouneterd several flags (I cannot access my account, I received no replies from them, I didn’t get the “reset password” response and NO REPLIES from their offical “contact us” email address.) So apparently they have supplied PayPal with shipping notification, I’m guessing so that they will get paid. I will have to wait it out to see if my order shows up and ensure it’s what I ordered. MORE UPDATES TO COME!

(I live in the U.S.) This site actually popped up when I did a Google Search for r/c cars & truks. I found the remote control Monster Truck I was searching for at a “can’t pass this up” price, so I clicked and bought it using PayPal. After going through the motions (clicks, etc), paid for my item, I later discovered an error in my shipping address, which I created during the ordering process. TO CORRECT my address, I need to “login” to my newly created account right?… “SORRY” there is no account to match password. I click on the homepage to search for the product I bought and there’s no r/c cars or trucks on the website! Oh, I almost forgot – If you click on “FORGOT MY PASSWORD” and wait for that email with a new password… well don’t wait too long, it’ll be as long as waiting for an email receipt, order invoice, shipping notice, tracking number OR any other correspondece that acknowledges your order, lol. I’m about to start my PayPal dispute and hopefully, these guys will get shut down soon. Good luck all…

    • Abby

(I’m live in U.S) After tried to use the reason “Unauthorized transaction” to report a problem to PayPal last night, PayPal rejected to cancel that payment to Runern, and didn’t let me to report problem again, they said I have to go to resolution center to open a dispute, but the thing is I didn’t see any option to open an dispute case….So I’m thinking maybe I have to tell my bank that my debit card is lost and get a new one, so that PayPal won’t be able to debit it from my bank? or pray for the recipient didn’t claim your payment within 30 days…???!!!

      • Darryl Robinson

To Abby: I also got the same thing when I reported “Unauthorized Transaction” to PayPal. They rejected my complaint by saying the transaction was authorized. That’s because we did authorized the transaction… Just like you, I choosed that option because it was the only option available at the time! Our next option is to wait to see if the website ships our order or not, then we can go back to PayPal and open a dispute if we don’t receive the item or if the item is not correct. It sucks, but I’m sure I’ll either get my money back or I’ll get the product that I ordered. Good luck to you, I will keep you guys posted!!!

      • Darryl Robinson

Today, I went back to PayPal Resolution Center. I clicked on “CHAT” so I could explain to them that I used the wrong category when I first filed my claim. They changed my dispute to “Items Not Received” and I should get my money back within the next 10 days! Good luck to you!!!
