VIP Sunshades Review

VIP SunShades (VIPSunShades.com), also known as vimgvk, is an online sunglasses and eye-wear store for men and women.

Claiming to be “one of the first online retailers and has been helping fashion-conscious people look gorgeous,” VIP SunShades allegedly targets “wholesalers who primarily focus on fast fashion sunglasses and are eager to attract fashion forward friend.”

On their list of “advantages,” they list:

• always striving to be excitingly innovative
• offering our clientele fashion forward pieces that they long for
• guaranteeing shopping safety
• offering competitive prices with large discounts
• fast delivery, all shipped by air
• products are of high quality and have unique designs
• exceptional customer service (with “flexible communication methods based on your business. VIP specialist services and so on.”

When I read all this (on the site’s About page), I had a hunch that the owners of this site could not have written this text. I therefore took a part of their text (“Advanced order processing system and inventory management system, which support and process more than 50 thousand orders a day.”) and did a Google search.

The search revealed that the same exact text was used in 3 different websites:

• livestillwoman.com – currently unavailable
• castleofqueensshop etsy shop – no longer in operation
• emmacloth.com

And then at the bottom of the page the text read:

All of these advantages make EmmaCloth standout among other online retail and/or wholesale stores. Start your journey with Vipsunshades and start a new era of development!

Revealing that VIPSunShades may have taken the text from EmmaCloth.com (which according to user reviews, may also be a scam.)

Returns

You may return your item up to 30 days since the time of purchase if it is unused and in the same condition it was received (in the original packaging).

Once the returned item is received and inspected, they will process your refund and credit the method of payment used to buy the product or if the item is defective or damaged, exchange it for the same item. The shipping costs are paid by the customer.

However, sale items cannot be refunded.

They also claim to offer an online live chat and a phone number, but no sign of those could be found on their website.

Domain Information

The domain vipsunshades.com was registered on the NameSilo LLC registrar on May 21, 2020 for one year.

It is protected by Cloudflare and the identity of the owner of the site is hidden by a privacy service offered by PrivacyGuardian.org.

Claiming that “in recent years, Vipsunshades has become an icon among the US and European countries, with an increasing sales volume at an amazing speed,” seems to be a falsity since at the time of writing this review, the website had been online for just 3 months.

Red Flags

If you’re still considering making a purchase at VIPSunShades.com, keep reading the following section, in which we list some red flags which may indicate it is a scam.

The privacy policy was not originally written by the site owners, but used a generic one. They even forgot to insert the idiosyncratic details of their website and left the placeholders.

The prices at VIP Sun Shades are also way too good to be true. For example, Baffin Net Gray With Gray Rubber sunglasses, which cost $199, at costadelmar.com cost $21.20 at VIPSunShades.com.

The most serious red flags however would be reports of people who actually made purchases on the site.

Customers claim that:

• VIP Sun Shades is a scam based out of Singapore
• The products are not of high quality as claimed
• No customer service once you’ve paid
• Receiving broken and/or fake items
• Not receiving what was ordered
• Fake Facebook reviews
• FB page gone
• Long delivery times (one month is not unusual)
