Sweepszilla.com Review – Possible Sweepstakes Scam in Action

Sweepszilla, hosted at Sweepszilla.com, is an online sweepstakes site that claims consumers can win cash prizes, consumer goods and gift cards.

As you will learn, the aim of today’s unbiased review would be to provide you with as much insight regarding this semi-recently established sweepstakes as possible.

Unfortunately as you will also learn, there isn’t much feedback pertaining to this sweepstakes portal.

To find out more we invite you to continue reading our honest review.

About Sweepszilla.com

Sweepszilla is promoted as a free-to-use sweepstakes portal that allows consumers to enter their various sweepstakes to win prizes.

According to their platform, their sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Each day one $50 winner is selected while the probability of winning is said to be dependent upon the number of entries submitted.

During the time of writing this review, Sweepszilla did not possess any community feedback what-so-ever, which we found odd considering market intelligence reports indicates that their site supports over a million monthly visitors.

Among the most commonly supported prizes would be cash rewards ranging between $25 to $5,000, electronics such as televisions, laptops, portable speakers along with gift cards.

Other consumer products and goods allegedly offered as prizes would be jewelry, household appliances and tablets.

Who is Behind Sweepszilla?

Sweepszilla is owned and operated by Taptastic, LLC.

According to Justia, Taptastic, LLC is filed under Serial Number 87888520 and received a Notice of Allowance issued on Number 13th, 2018.

Lyndsey Kuykendall is disclosed as an employee behind Taptastic, LLC while an entity known as Michael Markos is disclosed as the attorney.

How does Sweepszilla Work?

In order to get started with Sweepszilla.com, site visitors must disclose their email address on their home page and then verify their email address after registering.

When we signed up to get a better grasp on Sweepszilla, we received their verification email in our SPAM folder.

After a user has verified their email address they will be able to create a password, log in to their account and start entering sweepstakes.

While Sweepszilla.com closes a lengthy list of past winners, there actually isn’t any real proof that these entities actually exist nor that they were compensated.

Moving forward, each sweepstake comes with an “x” amount of entries available along with a deadline for their giveaways.

Take for instance the $5,000 cash prize entry, which allegedly ends on June 18th, 2019 and only has 10 available entries left.

When testing out this sweepstakes, we noticed that the entry positions left doesn’t actually decrease if you log out, log back in and refresh the sweepstakes page after submitting your entry.

Why this is we aren’t exactly sure of yet.

Discrepancies

No Community Feedback

One of our biggest issues regarding Sweepszilla would be how there is virtually no community feedback regarding this platform.

For a platform that allegedly supports a wide pool of consumers across multiple countries, one would expect for Sweepszilla to reflect some form of feedback.

Instead the only type of feedback we found relating to Sweepszilla would be ScamAdvisor, which rendered Sweepszilla.com a trust score of only 56%.

Unverifiable Physical Address

As you can see in the image shared above, the alleged physical address of Sweepszilla is 96 Linwood Plaza, #120, Fort Lee, NJ 07024-3701.

However, when you search that physical location in Google maps it reveals that only partial segments of that address are legitimate.

To add, the physical address when entered into Google reflects a physical address of a UPS Store, not Sweepszilla.

Domain Insight

Sweepzilla.com was a privately acquired domain that was registered on February 16th, 2018 through the GoDaddy, Inc registrar.

According to SimilarWeb, Sweepszilla.com reflects a global rank of 20,139 with a US rank of 3,831 as of December 20th, 2018.

In October of 2018, Sweepszilla.com allegedly supported 1.92 million visitors while over 97% of all traffic came from visitors residing within the United States.

In addition, it appears that Sweepszilla is making rounds through email campaigns, considering that 23.41% of the sites traffic is derived from email based sources.

Is Sweepszilla.com Safe to Use?

Given the utter lack of community feedback surrounding Sweepszilla along with the discrepancies that we addressed above, we do not believe Sweepszilla is safe to use for the time being.

Sweepszilla Review Conclusion

If you are considering using Sweepszilla, we must advise you to exercise caution.

Within minutes of registering we received several emails all further promoting Sweepszilla.

Our recommendation regarding Sweepszilla would be to avoid their platform as a whole until more community feedback surfaces regarding the legitimacy of their sweepstakes.

Outcome: Sweepszilla may be used at your OWN Risk!

How do you know which of the thirty emails they send you everyday saying you won are legitimate. I get thirty plu

I have been playing since Mar 2019. June 26, I won a $20 Amazon gift card. I opted for a check and received it! On July 4, I won a Target gift card! I opted for a check, and as of July 24th, I am still waiting for it in the mail!

Zillas are earned by entering the prize giveaway… Sometimes they are given to for playing constantly … If you read your emails it clearly tells you if you submit your entries today you will receive this much Zillas… Im currently stocked up on them. But sweepszilla is real guaranteed…I hope you get your problem solved

I go to their site faithfully entering all sweeps in which I’m interested. I get no zillas for playing. I go to their site from emails promising zillas. I get no zillas. I have been !messaging them each time this happens and, unlike their e!all states about answering in 3days, I never get an answer. I have saved months and months of these messages. I can prove they’ve known about the problem for many many months! I’ve even written them separately about the problem. To no avail. My take on the whole thing is that I will never be picked as winner of anything because I brought this problem to their attention and claimed it was unfair for them to treat me differently from others in a public game site. What do you think?

Totally ridiculous BS keep saying i won and yes how do i know if i did win by their wolf crying Why bother for 25 lousy palteey bucks im hitting the game over switch after reading these reviews and esp the blog.

I have been maxing out my entries on all of the prizes religiously for 6 months without even a daily win. Meanwhile the same 30 people seem to win all of the prizes over and over again on all of these sites. I have requested account support 20 times and no one has ever once responded. These sweeps sites are a cruel, nasty, immoral, corrupt scam and they need to be removed or penalized for wasting people’s time.

  4. Christine Chandler

I’ve been playing the sweeps regularly for well over a year. Over the last several months, I have not been given dollars while playing not the dollar from the emails they send me. I have won nothing and it does take a lot of time. I’ve inquired about the reasons I’m not receiving the zillas, but despite their promised 3day turnaround for answering, have been ignored. Anyone know who sets the regulations for companies like this? I have been trying to find that entity to no avail. All help finding the regulatory body would be greatly appreciated!

I was an avid player of this site until March 15, 2020, which is when to my surprise I had the winning ticket for the $250,000 prize… Winning ticket in the middle, stating “showing 1 of 3 of 3 tickets, and my other 2 numbers were at the bottom. Low and behold, the VERY NEXT DAY upon opening the page, I get a notification stating that my ‘entry history had been moved’. So thankful I had taken a screenshot because I have not once been notified that I won, but after many, many requests for my entry history I have only gotten a reply that I would be contacted within 3 days… I’ve been waiting ever since. I can’t even access the drawing for that day, which ultimately would prove I did in fact win the prize
I have even sent in a ‘dispute resolution’ offering to accept payments over time and I still have not heard from them.

If anyone cares to help me verify that I in fact won, would you please access the history for March 15, 2020 and notify me of that number.

It is greatly needed as I am a disabled Registered Nurse that wants to find joy again and a sum of this size would allow me to take care of those that take care of themselves.

      • Edgar Munoz Luevano

They will email you “ Say you won”, I also checked and I see if you come up in the winning page there’s nothing, I still play but I haven’t won anything after, never know good luck to all

    • Israel Burks

Sweepstakes is a legitimate company. It is part a a huge sweepstakes company. I was led to it from marketing on another sweepstakes website. If you google, you can find all the information that you need.
